At LetzMark, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use our mobile application. By using our app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect and process the following types of information:
- User-Generated Content: When you use LetzMark, you can create and manage collections. These collections may include icons, images, videos, audios, texts, paths, and areas that can be placed on a map. All content you create and save is stored locally on your device unless you choose to upload it to the cloud.
- Account Information (If Applicable): If you create an account, we may collect your registration details, such as your email address, username, and other necessary information to provide account services.
- Device Information: When you use our app, we may collect information about your device, including but not limited to device type, operating system version, and app version. This helps us improve the functionality and performance of the app.
- Location Data (If Applicable): If your collections include location-based data (such as paths or areas on a map), we may collect your location data to improve your experience. This information is only used for the purpose of managing and displaying your content within the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect in the following ways:
- To provide and improve the functionality of the app, including creating, saving, and managing collections.
- To enable you to create an account (if applicable) and sync your collections to the cloud.
- To allow you to control the visibility of your collections (private, public, or shared via URL).
- To send you important updates, including app notifications, updates to terms of service, or security alerts (if applicable).
- To troubleshoot and improve app performance based on your feedback and usage.
3. Cloud Storage and Sharing
a) Cloud Storage: When you create an online account, you can choose to publish your collections to the cloud for backup or sharing purposes. All collections uploaded to the cloud are associated with your account.
b) Visibility Settings: As the owner of a collection, you have control over who can view your content. You can choose from the following visibility settings:
- Private: Only you can view the collection.
- Public: The collection is publicly available for anyone to view and can be discovered while moving on the map.
- Shareable URL: You can generate a link to share the collection with anyone (even if they don’t have an account with us).
c) Public Collection Discovery: If you set your collection to "Public," it may be discoverable by other users who are exploring the map. This means that users can search for and view your public collections as they move around the map, potentially seeing your content depending on their location.
d) Sharing with Others: If you choose to share a collection publicly or through a generated URL, you understand that the collection may be visible to others. We cannot control how third parties use or share your content once it has been shared in these ways.
4. Content Guidelines and Restrictions
We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users. Therefore, we do not allow the following types of content:
- Sexual Content: Any explicit or sexual material.
- Illegal Content: Any content that violates laws or promotes illegal activities.
- Vulgar or Offensive Content: Content that is harmful, abusive, or discriminatory in nature.
If we identify or receive complaints about collections that violate these guidelines, we reserve the right to remove the content from our platform.
5. Location-Sensitive Content Requests
We understand that some collections may inadvertently expose sensitive information, such as precise locations that could harm local businesses, landmarks, or private properties. If you believe a collection exposes such information or causes harm to your business or community, please contact us.
We will review requests to delete collections that:
- Reveal private or sensitive locations that may negatively impact businesses or local communities.
- Cause harm or create discomfort for individuals or organizations.
If your request meets these criteria, we will take appropriate action, including removing the collection from our platform.
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We are committed to respecting your data and providing you with control over your content. If you decide to delete your account or collections, the following will apply:
- User-Generated Content: If you delete your collections from the app or from the cloud, those collections will be permanently removed. This includes any icons, images, videos, audios, texts, paths, and areas that were saved to your account.
- Comments and Replies: If you have left comments or replies on public collections, your comments will remain visible, but any identifying information associated with your account (such as your username or email address) will be anonymized. The comment itself will remain but will no longer be linked to your deleted account.
- Data Deletion Request: If you delete your account, all personal data linked to your account (such as your email address and username) will be removed. However, please note that copies of your data may remain in our backup servers for a limited time due to technical or legal reasons.
If you wish to delete your collections or account, you can do so through the app's settings. Please be aware that once data is deleted, it cannot be restored.7. Security
We take the security of your data seriously and employ reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, please note that no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
8. Third-Party Services
We do not share your personal data with third-party companies, except in the following cases:
- Cloud Storage Providers: If you choose to publish your collections to the cloud, your data may be stored with third-party cloud service providers. These providers have their own privacy policies that govern their use of your data.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, such as in response to a court order or government request.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access and Review: You can access and review the data you have stored in the app at any time.
- Delete Content: You can delete any content from the app and, if applicable, delete your account. If you choose to delete your content or account, please note that copies of your data may still exist on backup servers for a limited time.
- Change Visibility Settings: You can update the visibility settings of your collections at any time.
10. Children's Privacy
LetzMark is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in this document, and the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated. Please review this policy regularly to stay informed about how we protect your privacy.
